Rental regulations

§ 1. General provisions

• The lessor is CAR & GO Sp. z o.o., Wiejska 12/3, 00-490 Warsaw, VAT ID PL7011315538.
• The renter is the individual or company that has concluded a car rental contract with the lessor.
• These regulations apply to every car in the lessor's fleet. The terms given on an individual car page and in the contract take precedence over the regulations.

§ 2. Concluding the contract

• An enquiry sent through the site is not a booking. Dates are blocked once the lessor confirms by e-mail.
• The rental contract is signed at hand-over. It comes with a hand-over report recording the odometer reading, the fuel level and any damage.
• The lessor may refuse to hand over the car if the renter does not meet the requirements in § 3, is under the influence of alcohol or other substances, or has given false details.

§ 3. Requirements for the renter

• The age and licence-holding period given on the page of the car being rented; for the premium class this is 25 years of age and three years of a category B licence.
• A valid ID card or passport and a category B driving licence valid in Poland.
• A payment card in the renter's name, with a limit that allows the deposit to be blocked.
• Every additional driver must be entered in the contract and meet the same requirements.

§ 4. Deposit

• The amount of the deposit is given on the car page and in the contract. We block it on the payment card at hand-over.
• We release the deposit after inspecting the car on return, within three business days at the latest.
• We deduct only what the contract provides for: the damage excess, additional charges, the cost of missing fuel, fines and administration fees. Every deduction is presented in writing together with the calculation.

§ 5. Charges and payment

The rental price follows from the car's price list and the length of the rental. A rental day is 24 hours from the hour of hand-over. The minimum rental period is 5 days.

§ 6. Mileage limit

• The limit is 300 kilometres for every rental day and adds up across the whole period.
• Kilometres over the limit are settled on return, at the rate given on the car page.
• A higher limit can be agreed before hand-over.

§ 7. Fuel

• We hand the car over with a full tank and take it back the same way.
• Missing fuel is refilled at the renter's cost, at the price of the nearest station plus the cost of getting there.
• Costs and damage caused by filling the wrong fuel are borne by the renter.

§ 8. Insurance and damage

• Every car carries third-party and comprehensive cover plus assistance within Poland. The damage excess is given on the car page and in the contract.
• In a road incident the renter must call the police, secure the report and notify the lessor without delay.
• In case of theft the renter reports it to the police and hands the lessor the keys and vehicle documents.
• If the insurer refuses to pay because the renter breached the contract, the cost of the damage falls on the renter.

§ 9. The renter's obligations

• Using the car as intended and in accordance with traffic law.
• No handing the car to anyone not entered in the contract, and no sub-letting.
• No racing, test drives or training, and no towing other vehicles.
• No smoking and no animals without prior agreement.
• Securing the car against theft: locking it and taking the keys and documents.
• Reporting any fault, warning light or damage as soon as it is noticed.

§ 10. Travel abroad

• Travel outside Poland requires prior notice and an entry in the contract.
• Travel is possible within the European Union.
• Without notice the insurance cover does not apply outside Poland and the travel breaches the contract.

§ 11. Hand-over and return

• The place and hour of hand-over and return are set in the contract.
• Cars are returned washed, with the full set of documents, keys and equipment.
• The condition of the car on return is checked in the renter's presence and recorded in the report.
• Extending the rental requires the lessor's consent before the agreed end of the term.

§ 12. Changing and cancelling a booking

§ 13. Breakdown and assistance

• In case of a breakdown the renter contacts the lessor on 790 511 580.
• Repairs outside the workshop indicated by the lessor require prior consent; without it the lessor does not reimburse the cost.
• If a breakdown makes further driving impossible and is not the renter's fault, the lessor provides a replacement car or settles the unused part of the rental.

§ 14. Personal data

§ 15. Complaints

• Complaints are accepted at info@carngo.eu or in writing at the registered address.
• We answer within fourteen days of receiving the complaint.

§ 16. Final provisions

• Matters not covered by these regulations are governed by the Polish Civil Code.
• The regulations apply in the version dated at the bottom of this page; contracts already concluded are governed by the version in force on the day they were concluded.
