Rental terms
The rules are the same across the fleet. Between classes only the rental prices and the deposit differ. Figures given on a car’s page take precedence over this one.
Rental period
We rent our cars for at least 5 days. Our price list starts at that length, and it is the shortest period the booking calendar accepts.
Included in every rental
Added only when it applies
The deposit and the rate for kilometres over the limit depend on the car. You will find both on its page, together with the price list.
Who can rent
Driver requirements are given on each car page, because they differ between classes. For the premium class it is 25 years of age and a category B licence held for at least three years.
- ID card or passport, shown when the contract is signed
- Category B driving licence, valid in Poland
- A payment card in the renter's name for the deposit
- A second driver at no charge, once added to the contract and showing the same documents
Deposit
We block the deposit on your payment card at hand-over. We release it after inspecting the car on return, within three business days at the latest. When the money appears on your account depends on your bank.
The deposit covers only what the contract provides for: the damage excess, additional charges, fines and missing fuel. Every deduction comes with a written calculation.
Mileage limit
Every rental day carries 300 kilometres. The limit adds up across the whole period: a one-week rental gives you 2,100 kilometres and it does not matter how you spread them.
Kilometres over the limit are settled on return, at the rate given on the car page. If you know in advance that you will drive further, write to us and we will agree a higher limit before hand-over.
Fuel
We hand the car over with a full tank and take it back the same way. Missing fuel is refilled at the renter's cost, at the price of the nearest station plus the cost of getting there.
The fuel type is given on the car page and on the filler cap. The consequences of filling the wrong fuel are borne by the renter.
Insurance and damage
Every car carries third-party and comprehensive cover plus assistance within Poland. The damage excess is given on the car page.
In any road incident you must call the police and secure the report. A theft must be reported to the police, and the keys and documents handed to us. Without those the insurer refuses to pay and the cost falls on the renter.
Hand-over and return
We hand cars over in Warsaw at an agreed place. Pick-up at our office is free of charge, hand-over at Chopin Airport costs 80 PLN and delivery to your address 120 PLN. Returns are settled the same way.
A return outside office hours has to be agreed in advance. Cars must be returned washed. An unwashed car costs 150 PLN.
Travel abroad
Travel outside Poland is possible within the European Union, after notice and an entry in the contract. The notice is what lets us extend the insurance and assistance cover to the destination country.
Without notice, travelling abroad breaches the contract and the insurance cover does not apply outside Poland.
Booking
An enquiry from a car page lands in info@carngo.eu. We reply the same business day and confirm whether the car you picked is free.
We block the dates only once we confirm by e-mail. Sending the enquiry does not reserve the car. Changing and cancelling a booking is covered by the rental regulations.
