When we hand over a car, we hold a deposit on your card. With excess insurance we hold less, and if there is damage covered by the insurance you pay no excess. The insurance costs from 29 PLN a day, and the price depends on the car and the driver's age. The charge for the whole rental never exceeds the amount it takes off the deposit. We hold a lower deposit
When we hand over the car, we hold the deposit with the insurance on your card. The amounts for every car are in the table below.
You pay no excess for damage covered by the insurance
The deposit then only covers other amounts due under the contract, such as missing fuel. After you return the car we release the hold within three working days at the latest.
Insurance price for every car
Rates in the table apply to a driver with no age surcharge. We multiply the daily rate by the number of rental days, but the charge for the whole rental never exceeds the amount it takes off the deposit. The last column is the highest possible charge, even for a rental of several months. The car name leads to its Warsaw guide.
Insurance price and driver age
Insurers price the risk of damage by the driver's age, so a younger driver pays more for the same cover. What counts is the main driver's age in the year of pick-up. The charge for the whole rental still never exceeds the amount it takes off the deposit.

We rent premium cars to drivers aged 25 or over who have held a licence for at least three years. Other cars are available to drivers aged 18 or over.
Questions about rental insurance and the deposit
- What is excess insurance?
- It is an add-on to the rental. With it you pay no excess for damage covered by the insurance, and we hold a lower deposit on your card at hand-over. It costs from 29 PLN a day, and the exact price depends on the car.
- Is the excess insurance included in the rental price?
- No, it is an extra option that you tick when booking. Every car comes with third-party liability, comprehensive cover and assistance in Poland in the rental price. The scope of the excess insurance and its exclusions are set out in the terms we hand over before the contract is signed.
- How much is the deposit with the insurance?
- It depends on the car. For the BMW 530i xDrive it is 1 500 PLN instead of 3 000 PLN. The amounts for every car are in the table on this page and on each car's insurance page.
- Does the insurance price depend on the driver's age?
- Yes. The rate in the table applies to drivers aged 30 to 64. A driver who turns 18, 19 or 20 in the year of pick-up pays 100% more, 21 to 24 pays 60% more, and 25 to 29 pays 25% more. For the Kia Soul 1.6 CRDi that is 58 PLN instead of 29 PLN a day for a driver under 21. We rent premium cars from age 25.
- How much does the insurance cost for a longer rental?
- We multiply the daily rate by the number of days, but the charge for the whole rental never exceeds the amount it takes off the deposit. For the BMW 530i xDrive that is at most 1 500 PLN, even for a rental of several months.
- When do I get the deposit back?
- We hold the deposit on your payment card when we hand over the car and release it after the inspection on return, within three working days at the latest. When the funds show up depends on your bank.
